Privacy Policy

AetherLane is built by Aether Tools. It works without an account and has no backend — there is no server for your data to be sent to. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. AetherLane has no account system, no login, and no server. Reading the document happens entirely on your device.

Sensors and data types AetherLane does not use

AetherLane does not use location, contacts, your photo library, or advertising identifiers. It does not read data about you from your device. If a later version changes any of this, it will be described here before it ships.

What is stored on your device

AetherLane stores two things: your reading position and your view preference (scan or transcription). Both are kept locally using standard on-device app storage. They are not uploaded, and the app has no iCloud sync. Like other app data, they may be included in your own device backups under Apple's terms — we never see them.

Analytics and tracking

None. AetherLane contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no cross-app tracking.

Third parties

We do not sell or share your personal information, because we do not collect it. The app has no subscriptions or in-app purchases; distribution is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

AetherLane is intended for a general audience interested in a historical government document. It is not directed to children, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone.

Your controls

Deleting the app removes all of its on-device data. There is no account to close and nothing held on a server.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
