Privacy Policy

EarthTune is built by Aether Tools. It works without an account. This policy describes what the app stores on your device, and the one optional network call it can make.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. EarthTune has no account system, no login, and no telemetry. We do not receive your session history or magnetometer readings.

The observatory feed

EarthTune can request a read-only JSON snapshot of Earth’s measured Schumann fundamental, derived from public ELF observatory spectrograms (for example Tomsk) and, when available, a NOAA SWPC space-weather garnish. Those requests are anonymous GETs. They carry no name, email, account, or advertising identifier.

The shipping default is a local loopback address until a hosted origin is pointed at in Profile. A typical server log may record an IP address and timestamp; we do not use that to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything else. You can leave the feed unset and use Offline Anchor, which is labeled as a trailing average.

NOAA SWPC is a third-party public API. When that path is blocked, the app shows a stub rather than inventing a Kp index.

What is stored on your device

On-device storage holds your feed URL override, onboarding flag, completed-session library, and the Local Field / ghost-carrier lore toggles. None of this is uploaded.

Sensors

The optional Local Field readout uses the phone’s magnetometer. It is off by default. It measures the phone’s own magnets — not the Schumann resonance, which is far below the sensor’s noise floor — and the UI says so. Motion data never leaves the device.

EarthTune does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, HealthKit, or advertising identifiers.

Analytics and tracking

None. EarthTune contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no cross-app tracking.

Third parties

App distribution is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Observatory spectrograms are published by the stations we credit in-app. NOAA SWPC is used only as a labeled garnish. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect it.

Children

EarthTune is a general-audience wellness instrument. It is not directed to children, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone.

Your controls

Clear the session library by deleting sessions or deleting the app. Magnetometer access can be revoked in iOS Settings. There is no account to close.
