PERCEPTUAL FRAMERATE TRAINING
PsiFrame pairs isochronic tones with vsync-locked fixation targets from 15 to 60 Hz. It ships with hard rails — mood gates, session caps, forced grounding — because your visual cortex is not a toy.
// WHAT IT IS
Audio is synthesized live; the visuals ride the display's own refresh clock; and every path in and out of a session passes through a safety layer that can, and will, tell you no.
Three synthesis modes generated live on-device: gated isochronic pulses, or two detuned carriers for binaural and monaural beats.
Fixation targets ride the display's refresh clock and stay capped below Nyquist — so the strobe you see is the one that's intended, never an aliased artifact.
Sweep the perceptual band, from low-alpha steadiness to high-beta flicker, with a clean linear glide between two frequencies.
A short check-in before every session. If you're in no state to train, PsiFrame says so and holds the door shut.
Every session ends with a mandatory come-down. No hard cut from a strobe straight back into your day.
A focused fixation environment with its own safety-checked entry, for when you want the visual channel on its own.
// HOW IT WORKS
A mood gate and the standing photosensitivity and psychosis warnings gate every single start.
Pick a frequency, a waveform, and a beat method; optionally set a glide target. Every choice is bounds-checked.
Isochronic audio and a vsync-locked target run for a capped session — no open-ended exposure.
A forced grounding phase brings you back down before the app will let go.
// SESSION READOUT
There's no mystery dial. A session is an explicit set of parameters, each validated against the safety layer before a single tone plays — and the same gate guards both the Home and Gaze Chamber entry paths.
> freq 18.0 Hz > waveform sine · isochronic > glide → 40.0 Hz over 300 s > mood gate clear > day cap 1 of 3 used > visual vsync-locked · Nyquist-capped > grounding armed · mandatory on exit > start PERMITTED
Safety is the product. PsiFrame will refuse sessions: it caps you at a few per day, holds a hard frequency window, and enforces a grounding phase you can't skip. Flashing visuals can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.
PsiFrame is not a medical device and treats nothing. If you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, or any history of psychosis, do not use it without talking to a clinician first.
// PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything — synthesis, safety gating, and your history — runs on-device. There is no account and no server for anything to be sent to.
