These terms govern your use of PsiFrame ("the app"), published by Aether Tools ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them and confirm you have read the safety notice below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Photosensitivity & seizure warning. PsiFrame produces flashing and flickering visual stimulation. A small percentage of people may experience seizures when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even with no prior history. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or any seizure disorder, do not use PsiFrame without clearance from a qualified clinician.
Mental-health caution. If you have a history of psychosis or a psychotic disorder, do not use PsiFrame without professional advice. Stop immediately and seek help if you experience dizziness, altered vision, disorientation, nausea, involuntary movements, or any distressing change in perception or mood.
Not a medical device
PsiFrame is a tool for perceptual training and experimentation. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice. Do not use it as a substitute for professional care.
Use as directed; the safety limits are part of the product
PsiFrame includes safety rails — pre-session mood checks, daily session caps, a bounded frequency window, and a mandatory grounding phase. You agree not to attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent these limits. Use PsiFrame seated, in a safe setting, and never while driving or operating machinery.
Assumption of risk
You use PsiFrame voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate for you. If you are unsure, consult a clinician before use.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PsiFrame on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to this app except where these terms add to it.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aether Tools will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury or harm, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
