These terms govern your use of DEAD//AIR ("the app"), published by Aethertools LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Model output, not messages. DEAD//AIR is an instrument for a documented glitch in speech recognition. The text it shows is produced by a speech model transcribing noise. It names no one, and no output should be treated as guidance, prophecy or fact.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DEAD//AIR on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to this app except where these terms add to it.
Purchases
The app is free to try. The optional unlock is a one-time in-app purchase sold by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully. Room mode records sound around you; respect the people nearby and the recording laws where you are. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt or misuse the app.
Model output
Whisper is a model by OpenAI, run on the device through WhisperKit. Its output over noise is unpredictable and may occasionally be offensive despite the built-in filter. You are responsible for what you export and share.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aethertools LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
