Manifold is built by Aether Tools. It is a focus timer that works without an account and without sending your data anywhere. This policy explains what that means in practice.
The short version. No account. No analytics. No ads. Manifold runs entirely on your device. Session history, settings, and Pro status stay in on-device storage, and phone-to-Watch sync happens directly between your own two devices.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. Manifold has no account system, no login, and no server that receives your usage. The app runs on your device and keeps its records there.
Notifications and alarms
Manifold requests notification permission to alert you when a session ends and, on supported hardware running iOS 26 or later, to schedule AlarmKit wake alarms. That content is generated on-device at the moment it's needed and never leaves your device.
What is stored on your device
Session history, nested-session presets, any Focus Friends entries you add, and your Pro unlock status are kept in local app storage, plus an app group shared only between the iPhone and Watch apps so they can stay in sync.
Apple Watch
The Watch app talks to the iPhone app using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Session state is sent directly between your own two devices and never passes through a server we operate.
Purchases
Manifold Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details; Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Analytics and tracking
None. Manifold contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no cross-app tracking.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your personal information, because we do not collect it. App distribution and any purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
Children
Manifold is not directed to children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone.
Your controls
Delete session history or Focus Friends entries from within the app. Deleting the app removes all of its on-device data. Notification access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
