PARALLAX — TERMS OF USE
Terms of Use
Last updated July 4, 2026
These terms govern your use of Parallax ("the app"), an instrument published by Aether Tools ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Parallax on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to this app except where these terms add to it.
Acceptable use
Use Parallax lawfully and respect others' privacy when capturing images. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app or any triangulation service it connects to.
What Parallax is, and isn't. Parallax is a measurement instrument. It helps you rule out ordinary explanations and record calibrated observations. It does not identify what any object is, and a "clean candidate" is not a claim that something anomalous occurred — only that the ordinary explanations it checks did not apply.
No reliance for safety-critical use
Readings, rejections, and triangulated positions are best-effort estimates produced from sensor data and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Parallax for navigation, aviation, emergency, or any other safety-critical decision.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of any reading.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aether Tools will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
